A project of this size is almost always the work of many people. The project has stalled several times in its early life because of the normal challenges faced by FOSS projects, such as a key team member leaving or insufficient time or because this is a labor of love and is unpaid effort, team members have first to earn a living before they can dedicate their remaining time to the project.
